Sexual Violence & Advocacy

PAAR (Pittsburgh Action Against Rape)

The only agency in Allegheny County solely devoted to the issue of sexual violence. PAAR was the first victim service agency in Allegheny County, and one of the first rape crisis centers in the nation. As of today, PAAR is the only agency in Allegheny County solely devoted to the issue of sexual violence. PAAR provides comprehensive services to victims of sexual violence and to their families, serving children and adults of all gender identities, ages, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Pittsburgh Center for Autistic Advocacy

The Pittsburgh Center for Autistic Advocacy seeks to advance equity for autistic people in all realms of life. PCAA believes in inclusive education, policy, and community for autistic people and all people with disabilities. We work to make autistic voices heard in conversations about autism and empower autistic leaders in our community using principles of the disability rights movement and intersectional feminism.

Dreams of Hope

Dreams of Hope provides Pittsburgh’s LGBTQ youth a welcoming environment to grow in confidence, express themselves and develop as leaders by creating art. Through the program, youth create visual art, music, films, poetry, theater and dance routines. Their creative contributions educate audiences, build awareness and increase acceptance.

PFLAG

PFLAG Pittsburgh focuses on building a loving support network that helps with education and advocacy for LGBTQIA+ people. They celebrate and affirm all people who are part of the queer community.

Metro Community Health Center

Metro Community Health Center is an integrated medical, mental health, and dental clinic located in Swissvale. Our providers collaborate with each other to treat every aspect of a patient’s health, all under one roof. We offer all of our services to everyone, regardless of identity, income, insurance status, or the ability to pay.

Central Outreach

Central Outreach offers PrEP and free STD testing in Pittsburgh, Aliquippa, Erie, and Washington, Pennsylvania. Central Outreach Wellness Center is a holistic, multicultural, LGBTQ+, HIV, and Hep C health organization that offers medical and mental health services to low-income individuals. They have free electrolysis for trans clients and free prescriptions at the pharmacy for patients, andwaive all co-pays for treatments and prescriptions.
